What made you want to work at SBS?
Being at Stoneleigh-Burnham creates WOW moments for me everyday. This school’s values align with my personal values and I am honored to work here to build a vibrant, diverse and amazing student community of thinkers and doers.

Can you play an instrument?
I was a music major in college, so while a little dusty, I am a pretty good flutist. My most unique gig was playing at the wedding of two spelunkers that was held in a cave.

What is your favorite activity to do off-campus?
Being new to the area, I have greatly enjoyed the bountiful fresh produce, doing some kayaking and hiking and trying crew for the first time. I love to cook and am excited to explore the area museums and music venues now that some are opening.

What is a fun fact about you?
I grew up in Paris, Texas. I say y’all a lot, my accent comes out every now and then, I own lots of cowboy boots and every kind of soda is a “Coke.”

What are you currently reading? What is your favorite book?
早就应该, but I recently finished The Hate U 给 and recently started reading When Women Ruled the World: Six Queens of Egypt. My two favorite books are Secret Life of Bees and The Inextinguishable Symphony.

What is your favorite kind of candy? Do you have a secret stash in your office/classroom?
Good dark chocolate is my favorite, but I do confess to liking pretty much anything. This explains why I keep no secret stash in my office because I would eat it all.

What made you want to work at SBS?
I love being a part of a student’s journey to become the best version of themselves, and SBS supports each student in self-discovery, which is amazing!

What is your favorite spot on campus?
I enjoy the courtyard, especially in the spring when everything is in bloom but you’ll likely find me in my cozy office, my other favorite spot.

What is the most important thing a prospective student should know about SBS?
At Stoneleigh-Burnham you will be surrounded by a community that truly wants to see you succeed and will be cheering you on and helping you every step of the way.

What is the most exciting aspect of working at SBS?
Learning from our amazing community! The students, faculty, staff (and even pets!) have such unique experiences, 许多人才, and interesting stories to tell, and I’m always learning something new. I love being able to share these moments with families who are exploring SBS.

What is your favorite tradition at SBS?
The Victory Bell! 这是一个很大的, old bell that sits in the middle of the courtyard, and when one of our teams wins a game or match, they all ring the bell together. The bell is right next to my office, and I love to watch the team celebrate… loudly!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
My travel bucket list is a long one but at the very top of my list is Germany.

What was your favorite subject in high school?
English and Drama. If I wasn’t reading a book for a class, I was memorizing lines for a show!
